About the Event

The series occurs every other Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for a total of five sessions starting March 2, 2022, through April 27, 2022. This is a free workshop series spanning five live sessions via Zoom. We suggest a donation of $10 per person per session upon registration to support this program and other free and low-cost programs from SAMA. Registration is required to obtain Zoom link for participation and can be made online or by contacting the museum.

The Virtual Series: Drawing for Beginners will be taught by Linda Callaway, a local professional artist. Ms. Callaway is a retired Art Instructor and is now the owner of Flying Pig Paint Parties.

In each workshop, you will learn about drawing which is the basic building block of all art. Upon completion of this workshop, you’ll have the tools you need to expand into any medium such as watercolors, oil, and acrylic painting. The workshop includes drawing topics such as: value study, creating textures, perspective drawing, and color.
