About the Event

As part of Our History is Your History – Works by Jewish Artists in the SAMA Permanent Collection, the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art is pleased to offer two engaging children’s programs inspired by the Jewish concept of Tikkun Olam, or “repairing the world.” Through hands-on activities, young participants will explore values of kindness, justice, and caring for the world by creating recycled art and meaningful kindness stones. Workshops will be held Wednesday, April 29, 5:30–7:00 PM for ages 6–9 and Friday, May 22, 5:30–7:00 PM for ages 10–14. Children must be accompanied by an adult; parents are encouraged to explore the exhibition during the workshop. A suggested $5 donation supports this and future SAMA programs.
