The Preakness Gala

The Preakness Gala promises to be a grand, sophisticated, and entertaining evening scheduled from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at the Winsome Estate & Stables located at 391 Tel Power Road, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. 

Once again, our Gala committee and SAMA staff have planned a fabulous evening to include outdoor vistas as well as indoor fun. We encourage our guests to wear Preakness themed attire while enjoying delicious cuisine, beverages, live and silent auctions, demonstrating artists, casino, and live music by the band Kono Nation. The Preakness race will be shown live on the big screen at 6:15 p.m.; the Casino will be open all evening and players can use their winnings to buy beautiful, bountiful gift baskets. The auctions will feature equestrian art and sculpture, unique garden features, dream vacations, excursions and overnight stays such as a Fallingwater private tour and nearby cabin retreat, and more. The event is sponsored by Benzel’s Bretzel Bakery.

​Our annual Gala is the largest fundraiser and helps to support our five museums that bring art education programs to all, including local school districts and centers for our veterans. This couldn’t happen without the support and generosity of our sponsors, patrons and attendees for all of the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art events.
