During the Quick Draw Competition on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, artists will complete an entire artwork in the timeframe of two hours. Quick Draw takes artists back to their studio days of gesture drawings. Artists will show viewers their creative and problem-solving skills while giving insight into an artists’ thought process of creating a work of art.

· Location of competition: The Diamond of Ligonier - artists choose where they want to paint within the Diamond itself or within the 4 designated corners surrounding the Diamond.

· Weather: Quick Draw will be held rain or shine. There are overhangs around the Diamond, under which artists can complete their work.

· Time: Arrive at 12:00 p.m. for registration and set-up. The competition runs from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Judging and awards given at 3:30 p.m.

· Materials: Artists’ choice of medium. All artists must bring a drop cloth to place under their workspace when painting on the Diamond. Artists are responsible for cleaning their areas following the competition.

· Judging: Will begin at 3:00 p.m., a juror will be on location to judge completed works and awards will be given (first, second and third place).
