Learn the Magic of Palette Knife Painting

Join experienced artist, Meaghan Troup, on an escape into this summer landscape painting. In this class, you will paint this piece with oils and palette knives and learn to build texture, layer color, and create movement. Instead of getting caught up in tiny details, we’ll let the knife do the work and focus on big shapes, layered paint, and expressive marks. Using palette knives gives the landscape a bold, tactile feel and helps create that thick, painterly surface. It’s a fun way to let the painting evolve naturally while still capturing the mood and atmosphere of the scene. If you’re new to knife work, don’t be intimidated by the palette knife process. She will walk you through every step. All supplies provided. $35 per person. Must be 18 or older. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged by June 4th!
