About the Event
Celebrate pollinators, native plants, art, and nature at this family-friendly event presented with Penguin Court and Brandywine Conservancy. Enjoy garden activities, butterfly painting, plein air artists, educational exhibits, treats, and the Pennsylvania Pollinator Photo Challenge awards ceremony. A suggested $10 family donation supports SAMA’s gardens and pollinator programs.
This year has been a year to remember with America celebrating its 250th Anniversary. We will learn more about our region’s historic birthday celebration with Discover Westmoreland/Westmoreland Heritage!
Visitors can play the Monarch Migration Game and learn fun facts about butterflies and other pollinators with the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners.
The Pennsylvania Master Naturalists have a new activity for children, helping them to learn the lifecycle of the Monarch Butterfly while creating informative dioramas.
Whether you call them Sparkle McFly, Flickerbug, Flashinator, Night Blinker, Lightening Bug or Firefly the Westmoreland Land Trust will teach us how to support summer’s favorite bug.
