Ligonier Monarchs Milkweed and More

In collaboration with Penguin Court and Brandywine Conservancy, this family event is designed to enrich and educate children and adults on various pollinators and native flora.  A donation of $10 per family is suggested, and the proceeds will be used to help support the gardens and our special pollinators.

Melissa Reckner, from Penguin Court, will give a presentation on creating your own Monarch Waystation. Staff from Penguin Court will be tagging the Monarchs, so we can monitor their progress and share information on the various stages. Help us catch and tag! Wendy Love and Mandy Smith are Penn State Master Gardeners and will be available to discuss SAMA’s beautiful plants and flowers which attract and feed our pollinators. Paula Purnell from Westmoreland Land Trust & PA Master Naturalists will be on hand to discuss our resident birds. Powdermill Nature Reserve will also join us to share information and activities. And,…
