Inspired by Donald M. Robinson Workshop

Join local artist Recie Dolan for an immersive experience with Donald M. Robinson’s photography! In this two-part workshop, students will begin the day (9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) by exploring soft pastels and charcoal, using one of Robinson's photos as inspiration. After lunch (12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.), Dolan will guide participants through refining their artwork, demonstrating various painting techniques. Materials are provided, and while prior experience with pastels or charcoal is helpful, it’s not required. Please note, lunch is not provided. Registration is required by October 25th.

Upon completion of the workshop, student work will be exhibited at SAMA in the “Inspired by Donald M. Robinson” exhibition Friday, February 14, 2025, to Sunday, June 29, 2025. Students in the workshop are also invited to submit their work to the Donald M. Robinson Photography Biennial 2025, which will run from July 25, 2025, to October 19, 2025.
