Red, Yellow, and not Blue: Having Better Self-Care by Enjoying Colors in Artwork on Friday, September 10th at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. This event is free to attend, however, we suggest a $10 donation at registration to help support this program and other programs offered by SAMA.
Self-care takes many forms and one of the most beautiful forms is enjoying art. In this art lecture, we will be exploring some of the mindfulness practices taught by the Thich Nhat Hanh to learn how taking care of oneself and to be present through enjoying the colors in the artwork. Come and learn how to sharpening your mindfulness skills that lead to better self-care through color imagery.
This workshop will be led by Dr. Terri Nicole Sawyer from The Edge of the Center Therapy Services, LLC. On her work, she states, “Being a supportive clinical social worker is one of the greatest joys in my life. I enjoy listening to others and helping them to find a way through tough times.”
