Altoona Winter Art Camp

The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, in partnership with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra and the Altoona Community Theatre, is pleased to announce a winter art camp on December 3rd, December 10th, and December 17th. This year’s art camp will occur on three Saturdays in December, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Students will get one hour of visual art instruction, one hour of music, and one hour of theatre. This multi-faceted approach will join in the expertise of the partnering organizations to delight children ages 6 to 12 with cost $100 per child. There will be a reception to celebrate the students’ accomplishments at 11:45 a.m. on December 17th with light refreshments, including hot chocolate, milk, and cookies. As the holiday season approaches, children can flock to downtown Altoona to create! In this one-of-a-kind camp, students ages 6 through 12 will learn music, visual art, and theater. From musicians from Altoona Symphony Orchestra, artists from Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, and performers with Altoona Community Theatre, students will delight in the creativity of the winter season.
