About the Event

There is a recommended $5 donation for this free event recommended for ages 3-10. Cathy Breisacher is an elementary school librarian and local author with multiple published children’s books, including Cavekid Birthday and Chip and Curly. Chip and Curly follows two athletic potatoes in a race, learning lessons along the way. One reviewer said, “Young readers and their caregivers will get a kick out of deconstructing all the potato puns, while cheering for these athletic spuds. A winner." In Cavekid Birthday, two Stone Age friends try to find the perfect birthday present for each other. But when their ideas end up being not so perfect, these creative cavekids barter for a fun solution. Listen to Cathy Breisacher share her book and show the illustrations of artists Roland Garrigue and Joshua Heinsz.
