About the Event

There is a recommended $5 donation for this free event recommended for ages 3-10. Listen to local author Rachel DiAndrea share her children’s book about a horse discovering her strength and overcoming adversity, the Fat Halfie. The Fat Halfie is a true story about a pretty little Halflinger horse destined to discover her true calling. Arriving at the auction barn with no background history or pedigree, this little horse overcomes adversity with her physical shortcomings; only to realize her special strength, courage and determination would lift her up as a role model for others. A story inspired by her very own horse Annie Fannie; Rachel's fine art award winning illustrations bring this heartwarming story to life.
