Altoona Great Create

“Almost Endless” celebrates the role creativity plays in society and will be on display in the Paul I. Detwiler Education Center from July 30, 2021 through September 25, 2021.

Attend the Great Create to become a part of this exhibition! On Sunday, September 12th, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., join artists, community members, and SAMA staff to explore your creative side in the museum. Participants will be given a 4” x 6” blank canvas, piece of art paper, or other blank medium to realize their own creation. The work can be hung on the community creativity wall of the museum or taken home. Some materials will be provided or bring your own. This event is FREE, but registration is required and donations are appreciated. Virtual participation is also an option for those around the world who wish to participate in the Great Create.

Become an artist and join a movement. Creation stations be available to visitors who come to the museum during regular hours of operation to expand this exhibition of artwork created during a global pandemic. Express your experience through art!
