Director of Development and Advancement 

SAMA is seeking a dynamic, relationship-focused professional to lead the museum's fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This full-time, exempt position is based in Altoona, PA, with travel throughout SAMA's four museum locations. Click here to download the full job description.

The Director will develop and implement fundraising strategies, cultivate and steward individual, corporate, and foundation donors, secure sponsorships and major gifts, assist with grant development, support fundraising events, and work closely with the Executive Committee, Board of Trustees, Development Committee, and staff to expand philanthropic support for SAMA's mission. Qualified candidates should have a bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of nonprofit fundraising or development experience, with demonstrated success in donor cultivation, relationship building, and communication. Grant writing experience is preferred. Evening and weekend availability and reliable transportation are required.

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience, with an excellent benefits package.
