Bedford Art Camp

Camps are taught in small, informal groups by Museum staff and professional visiting artists. These are five-day camps for ages 5-9 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and ages 10-14 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with cost $125 per child. There will be an exhibition reception for friends and family of the students’ creations on the final day of camp starting one hour before the close of camp. Ages 5-9: Every day we will take time to learn to draw a certain type of winged creature, while learning interesting facts about it. Smaller projects include: cute baby owls made out of a nasty invasive weed, butterflies that can flap their wings, songbird watercolors, a paper wing-flapping dragon, and stenciling T-shirts with wings. Ages 10-14: Through drawing, painting, and painted sculpture, we will depict our favorite creatures with an emphasis on shading. Our older young artists are beginning to draw more…
