About the Artist: Heather Davis grew up in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania and graduated from high school with honors and an art scholarship. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Art in Painting at Rhode Island School of Design. Post graduation Heather worked in the building trades for many years and opened her own design/build contracting firm leaving a trail of sculptures, murals, mosaics, and other custom artwork throughout the suburban Philadelphia and Main Line area. A few years ago, Heather gave up her building endeavors to paint full time and immediately emerged as an award winning sculptor and oil painter in Chester County, Pennsylvania where she lived. She has now relocated to Bedford County, Pennsylvania, back to her roots where her family is originally from. Her new residence is equipped with a large studio and workshop area for a fully committed life of creating art. Current oil painting projects include both plein air and studio works that focus on the people and places in the Allegheny Mountains with a special emphasis on situation portraiture.
