General Operating Campaign

December 2019

Seasons Greetings and wishes for a prosperous 2020, A Year of Perfect Vision!

The year at SAMA is coming to a close—but not an end—a new beginning is underway, and our vision for 2020 is bright. This vision includes you in all we continue to do for and with our communities in the Southern Allegheny Region. Our fabulous five museum sites remain dedicated to showcasing the very best regional fine art as well as offering superior programming for everyone. We invite you to come along with us as we move forward into this new year. Your support has been steadfast and measurable in so many ways. The gifts you have given have made the award-winning programs possible for all segments of our communities. Exhibitions of the highest quality with cutting-edge themes continue to delight our visitors, members and friends. SAMA has been here for you throughout the year, and we continue to rely upon your commitment to us and the future of these regional jewels.

Remember these few things about SAMA and share them with your family and friends:

  • Over 81,000 individuals visit our five museum sites annually—Wow that’s SAMAZING!

  • We provided 40 exhibitions in 2019 for our communities large and small

  • SAMA has served over 15,000 children-that’s a lot of busy hearts, hands and minds

  • We have served numerous deserving veterans within our art in residency program and this program was highlighted recently by WJAC NBC TV touching many more

  • SAMA continued the Artist in Residence Program-now a model for educational programming statewide! - you bet; we are leading the way in so many areas of educational excellence in the arts!

  • We have added 1,916 new items to a robust, recognized and respected fine art collection-continuing to build it and preserve it for you- and we continue to care for these valuable items every day on behalf of our communities

  • SAMA maintains five diverse local museum sites for you and your community—and all this for under 1.2 million dollars in beautiful rural Southern Allegheny Region—imagine, how is this even possible in today’s economy?

It’s because you make it happen: You keep SAMA shining all year long with your vital support through attendance at events, gifts of financial support and significant in-kind donations. These measurable expressions of faith in SAMA underscore the value of this unique and special regional Museum which is dedicated to bringing you the best in art, music, dance and educational opportunities which remain unparalleled in the State.

To provide these incredible offerings at SAMA requires continued financial gifts and donations.  Your gift today in 2019 brings the New Vision 2020 into focus for the future. Join us as we begin anew with opportunities and offerings for the best regional Art Museum now in its 43rd year serving Southern Allegheny communities. Your tax-deducible contribution makes it all possible and we look forward to your continued support.

From all of us at SAMA, Thank You!
