EXHIBITING ARTISTS TO SPEAK
AT SAMA-ALTOONA LUNCH A L’ART
Altoona—Three of the
artists featured in the exhibition, Four Lenses-Four
Views: Gary Baranec, Sandra Halpern, Steve Root, and Bernard
Schilling, will speak at a Lunch a l’Art program at the
Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Altoona on Friday,
June 29. Cost for the program, which begins at noon, is $12
or $10 for SAMA members.
The exhibition offers its
viewers four photographers who come from disparate
backgrounds and use widely varying styles. Despite their
differences, however, each of these artists routinely
delivers poignant, striking and thought-provoking images.
Each artist uses a
different style of photography, from photo-realism to the
abstract photo collage. Four Lenses-Four Views
features many of the diverse styles and techniques that make
photography such a popular and accessible medium. Gary
Baranec, Sandra Halpern and Bernard Schilling will be on
hand to speak about their works in the exhibition.
Lunch a l’Art programs are
offered to encourage a greater understanding of various art
forms and movements, as well as a deeper appreciation for
the exhibitions presented by the Museum.
The Southern Alleghenies
Museum of Art at Altoona is located in the Brett Building at
