Loretto – The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art’s 29^th annual summer Gala has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 21. The 6 p.m. start time remains the same, as will the elegant evening that guests have come to expect from SAMA’s annual fundraiser spectacular. Prompting the date change was conflicting social events, said Shirley D. Lingenfelter, President of SAMA’s Board of Trustees.

"We have decided to hold our Gala one week later as a show of support for the grand opening of the Bedford Springs Hotel and Resort," said Lingenfelter. "It is such an important time for Bedford County and Central Pennsylvania, and we are excited about their renovations and want to support them to our fullest. The rescheduling also will provide an opportunity for people to attend both of our affairs."

The theme for this summer’s Gala is "A Starry Night in Paris." Guests will enjoy fine French cuisine and drink specials, dancing, and a gourmet dinner. The silent auction will boast splendid shopping opportunities, featuring antiques, collectibles, jewelry and accessories, vacation packages, and artwork by local artists.
