Erro Gutshall's photography is represented in
the Museum's collection with 35 black and white landscapes,
including the rural landscape illustrated here. A native of
Altoona, Pennsylvania, Gutshall received a B.F.A. from the
University of California. He has traveled extensively on
assignment in the United States and abroad, and his work has
been reproduced in national and international publications.
Gutshall received a commission from the United States Government
to produce photographic portfolios and over 1,400 are now on
permanent display in American embassies throughout the world.
He has been honored with one person exhibitions at the House of
Representatives and Senate Galleries.
