Surrealist artist Igor Galanin's unique style of painting is based
upon Pop images of Richard Lindner, Cubist presentations of
Ferdinand Léger, and surrealist settings of Max Ernst and Marc Chagall. Presented in bright, flat fields of color, Galanin's
playful surrealistic compositions have captured the attention of
collectors and galleries throughout the Eastern United States.
Tennis Anyone? (1994) reveals a personal dream world with the
caricature of a less-than-athletic tennis star. Born in Moscow,
Galanin lived in Russia and Italy before moving to the United
States in 1972. He became a U.S. citizen in 1983.
